Within a year, we got married, and took a "train" honeymoon, down the east coast, up to the Midwest and back to NYC. Our careers evolved, as did out sex life. We were wild and crazy, as any person in the 50's could. I'd spend many times dressing in sexy (for the era) lingerie to excite Martin. Garter, Nylons, panties, high heels. Braless Slips, half slips.....and the sex was great. Martin was lacking in oral sex. Never did it. So, I too didn't, even though a few times in college, on a "dare"......it would happen.
I was 5'5" in flats, sandy-blonde-reddish hair, brown eyes. Skinny. Kinda Flat chested. Hell, I could wear a man's summer T-shirt under my blouse instead of a bra, and few would ever notice, but I have to say I DID have nice legs. Martin about 5'9", normal build, semi-athletic, wavy hair, mustache.
Martin landed a big promotion, so we relocated to suburban Alexandria VA. It was around '62. We made plenty of friends, political and business. We had a modest house, and surprisingly, even our neighborhood was already "mixed" race. Funny, the neighborhood parties looked more like a UN Meeting. Blacks, Whites, Asians, Middle Eastern. A few pool parties brought out the "new" bathing suits. Half the guys, I swear, walked around with "hard-ons" looking at all the ladies. Two of them were "something", the Mid Eastern and Blacks. "NO way", I thought.
Martin moved up in the Company, and within 5 more years, we again relocated to Atlanta. The city was booming, and the South seemed to be growing fast. 1967 ? now
We tried on several occasions to start a family, but after multiple testing's, I could never conceive. We thought about adopting, but back in the 60's, it was damn near impossible.
As a "treat" to me, Martin bought a house in NW Atlanta with a very large lot, and a swimming pool, BIG house. Ranch, 4 bedrooms, three baths, huge 2 car garage. Huge driveway that circled from one end of the street, up to the house, then back out the other side of the yard. We could afford to "hire" landscapers and pool cleaners by now. Martin converted the one bedroom into an office. Martin, with his "banking" mentality, had huge one way windows installed, floor to ceiling, said "don't like the contractors always starring in when I'm trying to work". Yeah, at first......but not later, you were never home.
As the 60's were about to end, and the 70's coming on board, we were the "IN" crowd. Mary Jane arrived, Parties at the pool, everyone having a good time. Not me.
