As the first few parts of HOLLY AND JOSH spell out, enough background and flashbacks will be presented so new readers can appreciate the deep humor and deeper character relationships. There will be cases where a description or behavior varies from that of what had been presented during the course of ALICIA. My name is Josh, I am 21, stand 6' tall, have short brown hair, am in good shape and I live in Watertown, NY. For some reason that I have not figured out, I just slept walked through the longest, most vivid, intense and detailed dream possibly ever known. In that dream I imagined I was in a relationship with Alicia, a stunningly beautiful 41 year old former model who dated my father 22 years ago. My sister and I grew up thinking she was our Aunt. Alicia, or Ally, is 5' 11" and looks 30, is a dead ringer for fitness model DeeAnn Donovan (Google her) and in reality owns and runs a small fashion boutique downtown. My sister Julie recently turned 21, is the most beautiful female on this planet and we have spent the last few years doing things a brother and sister should NOT be doing. All our lives, Julie and I have been best friends, inseparable, and never fight. The last few years we had this simmering, growing attraction to each other that is wrong but we find it hard to fight it. We had stopped all messing around when things had gotten to the point where we were about to cross that final line and have sex... but waking up from this unbelievable dream relit the spark and so far we have kissed and discussed messing around again. Julie is 5' 10", has long, light blonde hair, athletic, perfect in every way, and is engaged to marry my best friend Scott.

If you were living under a rock, are from Canada, or used to watch American Idol, you probably don't know in the wacky, strange dream I basically slept with everyone I met and got what I wanted, when I wanted it, including an Aston Martin, unlimited money, games and electronics, private premieres to Marvel movies and even a house. I also had a torrid affair with both my Aunt Alicia and my sister Julie, slept with my family doctor Janet and even Holly's mother Gina. So there's the point of all of this... Holly. During all the chaos and sex, I met, snuck around with and fell in love with Holly, a brash, bold, loud and extremely loyal redhead who took no shit and made sure everyone knew she loved me. With fear of Julie hearing me saying it and getting pissed, no one has ever loved me like Holly does... did... and no matter what I did, who I did it with, where I was or where I went... my compass always pointed to Holly. The worst part of finding out all of this had been a strange erotic dream was knowing Holly wasn't real, nothing in Florida ever actually occurred, there was no Aston Martin, and Holly didn't exist. I was devastated and sat Julie down and told my sister everything and because of the strong bond we have... instead of having me committed, Julie called Ally and had me repeat the entire story. There were two main results of repeating the entire dream to Ally, who really is my Aunt Alicia... and who I never had an affair with.

One, she said I would need to get my mind right and it may be better if I didn't tell anyone else the story. Two, related or not, we would be having an affair because she had fought her feelings long enough and my story was the catalyst she needed to know the risk was worth it. OK, to be fair, she said that her and I would go into a room, close the door, and discuss our feelings and what might occur and that no one could ever know. Ally also said I could not kiss her in public and the next time I put my hands under her skirt it would be in a room with the door closed. You draw whatever conclusion you need to, I saw the look on her face, her body language, I knew what she meant. Meanwhile Julie had been acting sneaky, which was not what Julie did, we have no secrets... we have slept together (no sex though) taken showers together and messed around naked. We have no secrets and the only reason we didn't cross that final line was we were both worried what might happen if we did. Julie kept asking me to describe Holly and she would look away, smile, grin, or change the subject. Julie and Ally whispered a couple of times and then I overheard a strange phone call where I heard Julie say "Are you sure she's there? Call me if she leaves". Then Julie distracted me with a kiss and said she had to show me something at the mall.

We got to the mall and Julie wasted time walking all around until I got frustrated and she led Ally and I to Yankee Candle. When a tall redhead turned around, caught my eye, smiled then moved away to help a customer I froze. I couldn't breathe. I couldn't think. I almost fainted and my brain was muddled. Holly. It was Holly... but how? I said "Holly" and she turned to face me and said softly "Yeah?" I gasped and said "Holly" and she excused herself and walked over and said "Hi. Yes I'm Holly. Do I know you?" I gasped but no words came out and Holly smiled and said to Julie "Your boyfriend is a man of few words". Julie laughed then said "Wait. No. I'm his sister, he's my brother. He's here for you. Uh... I mean... he's here to see you..." Then Julie exhaled. Holly smiled sweetly but seemed confused until Ally asked "Any chance you could take a break so we could talk to you for a second?" Holly said "I'm the manager, I could do that. Can you give me a moment?" I sighed and Holly stared at me and said "Wow, you got it bad. Have we met?" I nodded but still no words came out and when she touched the side of my face softly I lost it and kissed her passionately. Holly resisted at first then slid her hands around my sides and held me through a long, deep kiss and then stepped back and gasped "Wow, I just had the most ridiculous sense of deja vu". Ally said "You should, it's when you first kissed. Take your break and I'll explain". Holly blinked several times, blushed, then I realized we were holding hands and I let go saying "Sorry". Holly seemed shy and flirted "It's okay... I'll... I'll see you in a minute..." and she smiled and walked away... but not without glancing back at me twice.

Julie literally dragged me out of the store and said "You have got to slow down or you will scare her away. She doesn't know you Josh". Ally said "No, I think there was a connection, she's definitely interested in him, but he does have to slow his roll". Julie said "I think you saw her here in the mall or maybe around town. Either that or you got nothing on Jean Grey. Tammy says Holly graduated a couple of years ahead of you and Kelly. She's originally from Sackets Harbor but lives here in town". I blinked and asked "Did you hire an investigator?" Julie smiled and said "Nope. Social media and gossip, that's all it takes nowadays". Ally held my hand and said "Calm down and you will probably get what you want". I smiled at Ally and she blushed then whispered "I was talking about Holly". I squeezed Ally's hand and said "I know" and she smiled and looked away. Julie said "Babe, you need to figure out what you're gonna do about Melanie". I sat on a bench and exhaled and Ally said "I might have an idea about that. What was the one thing that always got her upset?" I stared at Julie as she smiled "Whenever we would mess around". I touched Julie's hand and she smiled at me then said "I have an idea". Holly was coming out as Julie called Scott and said "I need you to trust me" and she walked away talking to him.

Holly walked towards us and it was like time slowed, a sexy soundtrack played, and I was mesmerized. Her hair seemed to float and was highlighted so that it looked like it was aflame. Her long red hair was wavy and curly today, she had on black leggings, a snug black short sleeve dress and black flats and she looked incredible. Holly stopped right in front of me and said "Holly" and I stood, took her hand and said "Josh". Holly was not at all bold, loud or brash, she seemed quiet, flirty and shy, and she smiled, kept hold of my hand and asked "What was with the kiss?" My mind raced and a thousand thoughts flooded my brain, but in a moment of clarity I said "In all my life, no one has captivated me like you do, are you seeing anyone?" Holly blinked and touched her hand to her mouth, gasped softly, then said "No". I stepped closer and Ally touched my chest and said "Holly, I'm Alicia, Josh and Julie's Aunt, and for what it's worth, I have never seen him so mesmerized. Is there a chance you could get to know my nephew so that he doesn't have to leave here sad and brokenhearted?" Holly looked at me, let go of my hand, and asked "What makes me so special?" I said "Everything about you is special and all I am asking for is a chance to show you that. Dinner, a movie, dinner and a movie, or I could just ask you out and spend every moment you give me making you happy".

Holly blinked several times and asked "The gorgeous blonde over there on the phone? Is that Julie?" I said "My sister and my best friend in this world". Ally said "No shit" and Holly looked at Ally and asked "Don't I know you from somewhere?" Ally said "Yes. You shop in my store downtown. You usually come in with the brunette and last time you bought the cute gray and pink skirt". Julie walked up and said "All set" then said "Hi, Julie" and Holly smiled and said "Holly". Julie said "I know this seems sudden and strange, but Josh has been trying to work up the courage to ask you out and I just..." Holly smiled and said "He just did. Can I have him for a minute?" Ally said "Absolutely" and started pushing and shoving Julie away as Julie said "Meet us at the food court Josh". Holly said "Something tells me that I should say yes... so... yes" and I was so excited I kissed her again. She held me and it was a nice long, passionate kiss with both of us holding each other. When we parted Holly asked "Why does it feel like you already know me?" I said "When you know me, when you trust me, I'll tell you a story that will make you laugh and cry. For now I just want the chance to make every dream come true".

Holly exhaled and asked "Could you scale the excitement back some? I like you and I'm interested and my answer is yes, I will go out with you, but this whole stalker, tie me up and take me to a remote cabin vibe is a little creepy". I said "Holly, you know me. You know I would never hurt anyone, but especially not you. I don't know why I have been given this second chance but I will never lie to you, hurt you, cheat on you or disappoint you... ever again". Holly sat down and said "See? That sounds really weird, like you know me from before but this is the first time we've ever met. Why do you have such strong feelings for me?" I looked away and said "You wouldn't believe me and I can't lose you a third time". Holly gasped "A third time? What does that mean?" I took her hand and she stared into my eyes and said "Always be honest with me" and I said "I have been and always will be". Holly stared into my eyes and asked "Will you meet me here at 5 when I'm off? We can go somewhere and talk, maybe eat something, but I have to get back in there". I said "I know all this seems strange but I will never hurt you and just want to love you... God... I know how that sounds... I... I'm gonna go". Holly held my hand and didn't let me leave, she asked "Why would you think I wouldn't want that?"

I stared into Holly's eyes and said "To you we just met and I understand that, but I love you and know everything about you and just want the chance that I squandered to be with you". Holly said "Tell me something you know about me that no one could know". I said "You seem shy and romantic and quiet. The Holly I knew was bold and brash and outgoing but the one thing I knew for sure, the secret she shared with me, was she... you just wanted to be held, talked to, loved and wanted. We had incredible sex whenever and wherever, talked about anything and everything, but the thing you loved the most was just to be held and loved, wanted, needed". Holly exhaled slowly, stared into my eyes, then she touched my face and said "There is no way you could have known that". Holly kissed me softly and then eased back and said "Yes. Yes I will go out with you" and she took my phone and added herself as a contact, sent herself a text from me, pulled up Facebook and sent herself a friend request, then handed me my phone and said "5 o'clock. Please don't stand me up?" Holly just walked away, stopped at the entrance to her store, waved and smiled, then went inside. I exhaled and by the time I had stood I got a text from her that said "5 o'clock" and I replied "Promise". Holly sent me three red hearts and I smiled and went to find Julie and Ally. They were talking to Tammy who saw me and grinned.

Tammy came up to me, hugged me, then gave me a deep, warm, passionate kiss before stepping back and saying "Hi". I held Tammy and asked "How's my favorite ex?" She said "Oh, so you want me to fight with Kelly?" I grinned and she said "Call me when you want some" and Julie said "Oh my God". Tammy smiled and said "It is what it is. I gotta go" and she hugged Ally, hugged Julie, kissed me again and walked off. Julie said "You and the Stark sisters. I swear that's never really over with. Anyways, Scott is getting Melanie good and riled up with a detailed story about you and I messing around again. She will definitely break up with you in the next hour or so, trust me". Ally pointed her finger at Julie and said "No more warnings, the two of you had better play it cool or I will kill you both myself". I moved my hand to Ally's back, just above her firm ass and her expression went from anger to surprise as she whispered "What are you doing?" Julie grinned and I said "Nothing". Ally's eyes flitted all around and she whispered "What are you doing?" I smiled and said "You already asked me that" but Ally said "I realize that, but you didn't answer me". Julie pulled me and my hand away from Ally and asked "So what happened?" I held Julie and told her and she said "Josh... babe... the only reason Aunt Alicia and I believe that ridiculous late nite Cinemax story you told us is because we both know you, trust you, love you and want you. Holly is not going to..."

Ally said "Excuse me? Want him? Have you gone completely crazy?" I stared at Ally and Julie moved me and herself closer to Alicia and said "I apologize Aunt Alicia, I was wrong and I am sorry". Ally stared at Julie for a long moment then she pulled a $10 out of her pocket and gave it to Julie then said "Go get a soda". Julie was confused and said "I'm not thirsty". Ally whispered in a scary voice "Go get a fucking soda or else". Julie gasped and hurried over to Taco Bell without looking back. Ally poked my chest and said "I will not have this discussion again. I am your Aunt, your mother's sister, and you are my nephew. We cannot and will not have any inapropriate relationship of any kind". Wow. Ally looked around then locked eyes with me and added "In public". Wow again. She said "Stop making this an issue before it becomes an issue... or worse... doesn't. Chill the fuck out, behave, and trust me when I say we will have a conversation in private and only in private". I was so confused that I was shaking and Ally held me in a warm embrace and said "Slow down, calm down and relax. You need to end Melanie and begin Holly because I'm guessing that's who you really want". Julie came back with a soda and her phone to her ear and she was laughing as she said "I love you baby, thank you and I'll see you in a bit".

Julie hung up and said "That was Scott. Lunch ended abruptly and he snuck into the bathroom to call, Melanie wants him to drive her back to town so she can pack her stuff and break up with you". Ally asked "Where's my change?" Julie shrugged and said "There wasn't any" and she sipped the soda then gave me some. Ally huffed "One of these days Julie, keep it up..." and we walked to the exit, got in Julie's Hyundai and drove home. Ally turned to look back at me and asked "No bullshit Josh, and this is the only time the three of us are going to talk about this, okay?" I nodded and leaned forward as Ally asked "If the point of that dream was to shock you into treating girls better, why would you mess with Julie and I, kiss Tammy in public, be all set to dump Melanie for no good reason, all while trying to go out with Holly? It seems like you didn't learn anything". I sat back and stewed for a minute and Ally smiled and waited as I collected my thoughts. I finally said "If I had really slept with all those women, half of them would be pregnant, a few would be in jail for fighting each other or kicking my ass, and none of them would have been okay with me messing around. In the real world you're not a former model and Porn star, Playboy didn't call Julie, I didn't run a huge company and there was no Aston Martin. More importantly, there was no line of women waiting to sleep with me"

Julie asked "If that dream seemed so real, weren't you ever tired from all the sex?" I stared at Julie and said "I don't think so babe. It seemed like I could get hard whenever I wanted and no woman ever turned me down. I was like the Porn version of James Bond". Ally and Julie glanced at each other, sighed simultaneously and then there was silence. My phone rang and it was Holly who said "Hi". I said "Hi Holly, what's up?" Holly sighed and said "So, I'm not having second thoughts, I just have a question" I said "Ask baby" and she exhaled slowly and said "That's my question. You have all these feelings for me and these memories that your going to explain and I just worry that I won't be what you imagine, that I won't live up to your expectations. I don't know if I can do this". My heart felt heavy, I couldn't breathe or even think. I begged "Please don't do this? Just give me a chance... please?" Julie swerved and screeched to a stop in front of someone's house and both her and Ally were staring intently at me. Holly said "It's not that Josh, I just need you to slow down and let me catch up. I don't go around kissing people and I don't just go out with anyone who asks. There was chemistry and I felt it. I want to know you and I was excited around you, but you have to slow down and let me catch up. Can you do that?" I breathed "Yes" and Holly said "Okay. I'll see you at 5 and you can call me baby. Bye".

I stared at my phone and Ally got out of the car and got in the back with me and held me. Julie glared at her until Ally said "Knock it off. We both know you'll get your moment so save it and drive". Julie huffed and put the car in gear and Ally held me and asked "Is everything okay?" I looked into Ally's eyes and she was very emotional and whispered "Don't do this Josh... not here". I stared into Ally's eyes and she broke, gave in, and our lips met for a soft kiss. We had just started to kiss for real when Julie said "Guys, we're pulling up". Ally eased back and whispered "Come see me later and we'll have that talk" and I held her until Julie parked and asked "So what happened?" I told them and Julie said "Josh, you have what you wanted, slow down. Don't try to rush. Learn about Holly, focus on Holly, just chill". Ally said "Julie and I have always been here and always will be. Clear up this issue with Melanie and get to know Holly. You got this Josh". We got out of the car and I really was trying to flirt with Ally but she moved and shifted at the last second and instead of grabbing her hip I ended up with a firm grasp on her tight ass and she froze. Ally let me hold her ass through her skirt for several seconds then she moved, spun and pressed close to whisper "Are you kidding me? On the front lawn to my sister's house?" I swallowed and said "It was an accident" and Ally stared into my eyes and said quietly "You have got to get your shit together Josh. This thing with me is private and has to be private or it won't be. We can't keep having this conversation. I need you to understand what's at stake here".

I nodded and Ally exhaled, glanced at Julie, then whispered "These games you want to play with me, with Julie, the dance you're about to have with Melanie, kissing Tammy like that in the mall. Real life is mirroring that ridiculous dream and you will end up losing Holly before you ever really have her. Get your shit together Josh". A truck screeched to a stop behind Julie's car and Julie groaned "Oh shit" as Kelly got out and said "Josh". I smiled because Kelly was the most beautiful girl that I... wow... I was doing it again. I stared at the grass as Kelly came closer and asked "What just happened?" I exhaled and said "Nothing. Hi Kelly" and she stopped and said "Whoa, what's with the cold front?" I hugged Kelly and we kissed softly but she stepped back and said "I'm not feeling the love Josh". Julie said "I know Tammy already told you" and Kelly said "About Holly Jackson? Yeah. She went to school ahead of us. She was Student Council president, in the Glee Club and Valedictorian. From what I hear she was kind of a nerd except for basketball which she lettered in because WHS rules". I smiled and Kelly said "The rumor is you and Melanie are done, so here I am".

Ally sneered "You're like the flu, you never really go away". Kelly moved closer to Alicia and said "I hope when I'm 50 I can still dress like I'm 20. You look great for an old person". Ally flared and had her hands around Kelly's throat before Julie and I could even blink. We separated them and Kelly was gasping as she kicked off her sandals and said "Let's go bitch". Ally stood there and said "No. I apologize for losing my temper Kelly. This is not THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF WATERTOWN and I apologize". Ally went inside and Kelly stared at her until the front door slammed. Julie looked at me and said "Holy shit, that just happened" and Kelly said "I'm gonna go. Call me later". Kelly put her sandals back on, hugged me, whispered "I want you" and then kissed me softly, hugged Julie and got in her truck and left. Julie smiled and said "You realize no matter what happens with anyone else, we always have each other". I held Julie's hand and she snuggled close as we went inside. Ally was in the kitchen talking to mom who asked "What have you two troublemakers been up to now?" Julie grinned and mom said "Julie, you just have to push. I'm not putting up with any more nonsense with the two of you. No warnings". I hugged mom who narrowed her eyes at me and asked "What's this about Melanie?" I said "All I can say is..."

The front door slammed and Melanie said "I need to speak with you Josh" and she went upstairs without looking at any of us. Ally said "I'll explain, and trouble is going to stay right here where I can keep an eye on her and help me explain". Julie sighed as I said "Love you" to which Julie said "Love you more". I looked at Ally and asked "Will you do something for me?" Ally said "Of course honey, what do you need?" I said "Clear the air with Kelly without killing her" and Ally inhaled deeply, exhaled, rubbed her face with her hand, then said in a low voice. "Fine". I hugged Ally then put my lips to her ear and whispered "God you make me so hot". Ally tensed, gasped slightly, held me tighter, but when I eased back she was blank faced and said "You're right, we can talk about that later" and mom seemed confused. Julie glared at me so I touched noses with her and said "I can't stand how perfect you are" and she giggled and blushed. Mom huffed and I went upstairs to face Melanie just as Scott came in and kissed Julie. I found Melanie in the spare room packing and she asked "Close the door please?" I did and she said "We're breaking up, do not try to talk me out of it because I would like to stay friends and maybe see you now and then. We can maybe date, hang out once in awhile, possibly even have sex, but I cannot be your girlfriend because the only person you truly love is Julie".

I didn't have to fake being upset, the crack about Julie dug me, but I sat on the bed and said "I would like to be friends Mel". She stared at me and asked "Will you lock that door?" I stared at it, then got up and locked it as Melanie said "If you can be quiet and take this for what it is, I want to have sex before I go" I smiled and Melanie said "Alright then". Melanie came down, saw Julie and me snuggled on the couch and gasped "Fuck". She stopped at the bottom of the stairs and asked "Why?" Julie moved off me and I stood only just realizing I was hard. Melanie came closer and said "I would have done anything for you Josh, Scott does everything for you Julie, and the two of you just... neither of you really cares about anything or anyone... except each other".

Melanie walked away from us, picked up her bag and said "My brother is coming to get my stuff. I gotta go before I say something I shouldn't" and she left. Julie kissed my lips softly, touched my bulge gently with a fingertip as she said "Sorry about that" and then she went upstairs. It was a little after 4 so I got into my truck and drove to the mall and sat there listening to music and asking myself what I was going to do. I felt dizzy and my head hurt. I had 35 minutes so I rubbed my eyes and put my head back to close my eyes for just a moment. I was so tired... and then Missy was saying "This is all going to work out Josh. You just have to get your mind right, stop chasing everyone and show Holly how much you love her". I gasped and startled awake and I was in my truck at the Salmon Run Mall and sweating, breathing hard, and it was 4:49pm. Damn. Missy seemed so real... and she said this was about Holly and that I needed to focus. Tammy, Kelly, Melanie... even Ally and Julie... I had to stop messing around and focus. I had to focus on Holly. I locked my truck and hurried into the mall, making it to Yankee Candle just at 4:59 and sat at the bench across from the entrance to gather my thoughts and slow down. I was thinking what to say to Holly when Melanie came out of Yankee Candle, spotted me and froze, then smiled and walked off. What in the fuck?

I went into Yankee Candle and Holly smiled and said "Two minutes" as she did something at a computer and the brunette from earlier smiled at me and walked over to talk to a customer. I was browsing and found a vanilla candle I liked and took it to Holly to buy it. She looked up from the computer and said "Get the larger one in the ceramic holder, it's on sale" so I did. I paid and Holly said "You need to save that for when... and if you get lucky... I like vanilla". Holly was really blushing and this was more evidence that she was not at all like the brash, slutty Holly I knew. This Holly was sweet, shy and quiet, and those are not insults. I took Holly's hand and she blushed as I said "Lucky was meeting you, very lucky was our kiss, extremely lucky was when you said yes to me asking you out". I moved closer to Holly and she blushed then closed her eyes because she thought I was going to kiss her. I whispered "There is no measurement for the amount of luck involved if I were lucky enough to be with you, and every vanilla candle in this store would be worth buying just to have that chance". Holly gasped, exhaled, stared at me intently and blushed redder. She clearly fought to gather her emotions and then said "Your girlfriend just left and said the best thing I could do was hold onto you, be patient and know that no one would ever love me like you could".

Wow.

Holly said "I need to understand this connection you have with me, these strong feelings you have, and this image, this persona you see. I am normally quiet and modest, friendly but shy and I don't date alot because I don't like drama. I usually work and read on my Kindle, sometimes I play videogames, but if you're looking for wild, always on the go fun... that's not who I am". I grinned and Holly was confused and asked "What?" I asked "Are you off?" She smiled and said "Yeah. So where are you taking us for our first meal?" With a smile I said "I know the perfect place. We went there on our first date... and it was a memorable one". Holly blinked, smiled slightly, then asked "Is that right. So where are we going?" Holly clocked out, grabbed her purse and said goodbye to her two employees and surprised me by holding my hand. I smiled and Holly asked again "So where are we going to eat?" I smiled and said "We're going to T.G. I. FRIDAYS".
