A poem for the voters

To the lonely little readers who give our stories a vote of one

Please remember that this website is supposed to be for fun and we aren't in English literature 101

Give a vote you think is fair, but seriously a one

When all others give a nine or ten it makes you look quite dumb

No one says you can't critique or criticize or work

But you don't have to be a stupid fucking jerk

If you honestly believe my story deserves a vote of four

Then give me a sensible reason and don't simply call me a whore

Hours of time and effort go into our work

So be fair with your vote, no need to be a jerk

I'd like everyone to give my stories a vote of ten I must say

But it obviously won't ever turn out this way

I will settle for a fair vote be it a three, six or a nine

You gave your honest opinion so don't call me names when I give mine

And to the tiny little man who said my true story lacks something new

A poem about voting is something that should be pleasing to you

The next time you give a story your vote

You will be fair and honest I certainly hope

While I encourage everyone to vote for each they've read

Don't give an unjust vote to a story you have read out of spite for the author, or something they have said

My poem isn't very erotic as you can plainly see

But my next story will have me tied to the bed while a woman named Jessica dominates me

Well I've spoken my mind and said what I set out to say

I encourage you to do the same in a fair and courteous way

So I will end this debacle now because as a poet I suck

But my husband always tells me he loves how I fuck
